Mark and Jen visited my grandfather Stephen Norman Grainger’s old parish - St. Barnabas Church in Great Tey, Essex where the charming Rev. John Richardson and his wife Jane gave us tea, showed us the parish scrapbook and gave us a tour of the house where my mum Margaret, her sister Anne and Stephanie grew up. I also met Mary Dyer, the churchwarden who remembers my grandfather. Mary was actually christened by Rev. Grainger.
